Reddit is so underrated
I have been on Reddit on since September 2020. Yes, at first I was spanning the communities on there but I learned over time that doing so that this wasn’t going to grow my blog at all. Actually after being on there for so long I learned not only how to grow my blog traffic with Reddit but also make some money in the process as well.
How to Grow your Website using Reddit?
Okay, so now I’m going to tell you about how I grew my website traffic and YouTube channel. As you can see by the screenshot below right behind Facebook was Reddit bringing in all the traffic to my YouTube channel followed by Pinterest. What I did to grow this traffic was the following steps below.
1. Follow Communities or Create your Own
The first thing that you want to do is either create your own community and post in your own group and share, or let people join your group daily which is something that I did and still am doing to this very day now. Or you can join your niche group such as Beermoney which is a very popular community where people discuss mostly online money-making opportunities.
2. Start Engaging with your Niche Audience
After joining a community or creating a community of your own the second thing that you must do is to start engaging with the members in the community. Now this is where it gets tricky because if you don’t follow the groups guidelines or rules they can either ban you from the group which happened to me multiple times or just block your post for when you do share your link in the community.
Either way before you start posting your website link or affiliate link first make sure that the community allows links in the groups, and if they do feel free to share but in a response of helping someone out and solving their problem or by sharing your cool idea of how to help someone. 3. Answer someone’s question by posting your website link
After that now it’s time to share your link by answering someone’s question. For example, say you’re in a pet community and someone is looking for the best pet toys and supplies. So if you blog about pets or anything related to the pet niche than you can just simply drop your website link in the comments section below by answering their question.
4. Post regularly at least 3 days a week in different communities
The very last thing that you want to do is to post at least 3 times a week in different communities. To grow my website traffic and YouTube channel I post in communities regularly at least 3 days a week or even once a day in a variety of different reddit communities online.
Here is an example of my Reddit Marketing strategy schedule below of how I shared my content.
- Monday: Engage with audience members in group
- Tuesday: Answer someone questions in group (not sharing any links)
- Wednesday: Share FREE products from my website
- Thursday: Share blog link to 2 different communities
- Friday: Share blog or YouTube link to 3 different communities
How to Make Money on Reddit
So now you’re probably wondering how did I make money on Reddit. To make money on Reddit I did nothing but simply posted my affiliate links into my own group or communities that I joined daily. Other ways you can make money on Reddit is by offering your services online through your own community such as Tutoring or Coaching. Other ways to make money on Reddit can be done by the following below.
